Debakey Vascular Dilator

Orange’s DeBakey Vascular Dilators are used in Cardiothoracic surgical procedures. These dilators are unique in that they have a malleable shaft that allows them to be molded and maneuvered into many different directions without tearing or putting excessive strain on the vessel. These instruments particularly used in exploration of vasculature in congenital heart defects or other situations in which a surgeon may encounter vessels which take an abnormal course and thus caution must be exercised in exploration. A complete set includes fifteen dilators graduated diameter from 0.5 mm to 10 mm making it easy to find a suitable instrument for any need or preference.
