A condenser, also known as a plugger, is a dental instrument designed to pack amalgam or other filling materials into cavity preparations. Pluggers/condensers are also available in a wide range of combinations with plain or serrated tips and the terminal shanks are angled at 50° to the center line of the instrument. All condensers are made of hardened stainless steel and will provide years of trouble-free service.
