Standard shank spoon excavator has diameter 2.5 mm and a terminal shank length of 10 mm set at angle of 53° to the center line of the handle. Excavators have unique, large diameter light weight handle for maximum comfort, reduced hand fatigue and increased control.
Excavators are used to remove of carious dentin. Orange Instruments offers a complete selection of “spoon” and “blade” excavators in a wide range of shank lengths and blade widths for any application. All excavators are made of high-carbon stainless steel, then hardened for the ultimate in sharp edge retention and durability.
